IP54 protection rating
Designed for use in dusty and splash-water-exposed environments.
Application area
On construction sites, locations, weather conditions and contacts change constantly — dedicated on-site fire protection is often not available at all.
Starting point

Tool batteries are often charged in the site trailer right next to wood, packaging material and other combustible materials. The Li-Ion Safety Box can move with the construction site and creates its own safety zone there.
A construction site has no built-in fire protection, because it is not a finished building. The only safety on site is what each company brings itself — and takes with it when it moves to the next site.
Charging happens in the site cabin or container, because that is the only lockable room with power. The same container holds timber, insulation, packaging and tools. An incident there hits everything at once.
Then the conditions: dust, moisture and temperature swings put extra stress on the charging equipment, after hours nobody is on site, and the trades change. Every subcontractor brings their own batteries and their own habits.

How it works
Thanks to its compact, robust build, the RUK Li-Ion Safety Box is easy to take along in the site cabin or container.
Instead of improvised charging on benches or in the container, all batteries are charged in one defined, protected place.
IP54 keeps dust and spray away from charging — also in rough outdoor conditions on site.
Monitoring stays on even when nobody is left after work — until the box moves on to the next site.
Benefits
Designed for use in dusty and splash-water-exposed environments.
Can easily be taken along to changing construction sites and locations.
Also works where no permanent structural fire protection is available.
Reduces consequential damage to containers, site trailers and the tools stored inside.
In detail
| Typical situation | Risk without protection | With the RUK Li-Ion Safety Box |
|---|---|---|
| Tool batteries charge in the site trailer or container | Confined space with a lot of combustible material (wood, packaging) close by | Enclosed charging area with extinguishing system in the same container |
| Changing construction sites and locations | Permanent fire protection is usually not available on site | Mobile system that moves with the construction site |
| Dust, moisture and harsh outdoor conditions | Increased stress on charging equipment used outdoors | IP54 protection rating for use in rough conditions |
| No continuous supervision on the construction site | Incidents after working hours go unnoticed for a long time | Automatic monitoring even outside working hours |
| Frequent changes of trades and subcontractors on site | Inconsistent handling of batteries, depending on the trade and the contact | One fixed safety standard on site, visible to every trade |
| Moving the box between several sites in the same period | The level of safety changes with the current site | Compact, mobile design that is easy to transport and set up again |
